Electrical work & fans

You’re a Customer, Not a Number

No call centre – speak to a real person.

Electrical work, fan installation and fan repair for small jobs and short visits across South West London. Speak directly with JM Handyman to discuss the work.

£80 first hour, £40 each additional 30 minutes, labour only, extras agreed beforehand.

Visits are by appointment, subject to availability, assessment and acceptance.

Travelling by electric van and bicycle to help reduce transport emissions.

Fans: scope and charging

Over 17 years of hands-on experience. Extractor fans: assessment, repair and like-for-like replacement of existing bathroom, toilet or kitchen extractor fans, with safe access for one person, subject to assessment and acceptance. Customers normally supply the fan and parts. Send fan details and photos before arranging a visit.

Two ways to arrange the work

Ready to fit? Where the customer has the correct fan and parts and the job is accepted, labour is £80 for the first hour, then £40 for each additional 30 minutes.

Unsure what to buy? An £80 assessment-and-sourcing visit covers assessing the existing fan and identifying/sourcing the agreed parts from a shop or online. Parts and any extra charges are separate and agreed beforehand. When I return to fit the same agreed fan, labour starts at £40 per half-hour, with no second £80 minimum.

Ceiling-fan mounting

Existing or new fan positions are subject to assessment and acceptance. I may need to remove the existing fitting to inspect the support and confirm that the proposed mounting can safely withstand the fan’s weight and vibration. Suitable mounting, safe access and one-person handling are required; additional electrical or structural work must be separately assessed and agreed.

Small jobs and short visits, appointments subject to availability, assessment and acceptance.
